Saray Kebab House in South Australia

"The restaurant has been recently renovated and looks really nice. I thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes overall. That said, I had higher expectations for the lamb and Adana kebab — they could have been juicier, as they tasted a bit firm. On the positive side, the restaurant offers good family combo sets, which makes it a great choice for a family dine-out."

"We chose to go to this restaurant expecting an absolutely mediocre expierience. However as soon as we stepped foot into the restaurant we were met with an extravagant Mediterranean atmosphere. The roof had wonderful Middle Eastern design and each table even came with came with a beautiful lamp. The menu had a wonderful variety for extremely affordable prices. When the food came I was surprised to see how much of the delicious Smokey flavour there was all over the food. However what I always say is that the workers make or break the experience. The workers definitely made my experience. I want to especially commemorate Mahdi he was very professional. Whenever we asked for water he would waste no time in getting us the freshest coldest and tastiest water I have ever had(17.248 second)"

"Went today and it was one of the best restaurant experiences of my life. All the waiters were amazing and nice. I would specifically like to highlight Mahdi whose service was one of the best IVE had in Australia. He deserves the best and provided incredible hospitality. Would definitely come again especially with Mahdi’s service and the food was incredible! He was incredibly quick and patient as we asked for many bottles of water and was always smiling as he brought our food and water. Incredible atmosphere in general!"

"We walked in and were seated quickly. The food came out quite fast also. The serving size of the mixed grill was great for two, although could have probably had more rice and dips for two of us. The service was great. We also ordered chips which were very tasty. Will be coming again"

"I visited Saray Restaurant on Henley Beach Road (174) and honestly had such a great experience. The three boys at the front were some of the nicest people I’ve met since landing in Adelaide. Super respectful, welcoming, and genuine from the moment I walked in. Their hospitality really stood out — you could tell they actually care about customers. They also worked really well as a team, helping each other out and making sure everything ran smoothly while waiting tables. It made the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable. Definitely left a good impression and I’d be happy to come back."

"Breaks my heart to see recent negative reviews which is clearly done with malicious intent. I was eating here with my whole family tonight and you can really feel the heart behind this place. It’s clearly family-run, with so much care and pride put into everything they do. The food is always fresh, full of flavour, and consistently high quality, with generous portions every time. The owners and staff are incredibly hardworking and welcoming, and it shows in the atmosphere and service. This is the kind of local spot that deserves support. Honest food, honest people, and a place you’ll want to keep coming back to."

"We were happy to come here, after a long day, to feed the family. Food was brought out quickly and there was enough variety to keep everyone happy. The best dishes were the char grilled meats, as the others are mostly mixed versions of yiros meat. All the meats needed a little more seasoning - thankfully there was salt available on the table. We came at 4.30 and were offered a table right away. It seems like they book out from reservations from 6.30 though, so plan ahead. It's a little pricey for the dishes, but they have a large number of staff on, and overheads these days are getting high so I guess that's understandable. For the price, though, I would have preferred not to have to line up at the cash register to order and pay. Table service is always better. It's very nice to have a halal restaurant in Adelaide that's so nicely run and with such a good atmosphere. Dolma were a favourite for us all, as well as the rice pudding."
